We talk about bikes with Nicola and Alberto: the interview with our bike managers

Nicola and Alberto, our owners and bike managers of the Enjoy, the first bike hotel on Lake Garda, know this very well. Let’s find out with them what that means and where the love of cycling that you can feel everywhere here comes from.

 

When did your passion for bike arise? We can say, that it was the result of the time, when in 2005 we started our bike experience in the previous hotel we had in Bardolino. Then in 2012 we arrived at Enjoy and took that passion with us, specialising in road bikes. Lake Garda was starting to host more and more cyclists, and we were the first to seize the opportunity to offer bike enthusiasts exclusive services to make their stay even more enjoyable. Trying out the routes first hand, to understand what to offer our bike guests, made us fall in love with this two-wheeled means of transport, and led us to create a specific brand for the bike world called “Garda Bike Hotel“, entirely dedicated to the bike holiday sector.

 

Which services and special attention do you dedicate to Enjoy’s bike guests?
More than services, we like to talk about unforgettable experiences, with attention to every detail. We organise daily excursions with professional guides, and take our guests by bike to the Enjoy’s best partners for tastings of local products. Of course, we have Pinarello bike rental (we are the first and only bike rental on Lake Garda and in Verona of this famous Italian brand), a fully equipped bike room, laundry, minivan and many other services available, but our goal is that people take home a lasting memory of the bike experience they have with us.

 

 

What are the main challenges in running a bike hotel? And the greatest satisfaction?
Challenges are daily, and are part of continuous research and professional growth, to keep up with the times in a changing world. We are always keen to respond to the needs of our bike guests, to offer the experience that best suits their desires… and it is not always easy.
But the greatest satisfaction of this commitment is that we become friends with all the bike enthusiasts we host. It is something that gives us immense joy, and makes us think every day how much it is worth it.

 

Cycling on Lake Garda: which route do you like best? And why?
It is difficult to choose just one path. Indeed, impossible. Let’s just say that the area we love most is the hinterland of Lake Garda. It’s simply wonderful. The Morainic Hills, Valpolicella, Lessinia Regional Park and Monte Baldo… these are the places we prefer, and here are the best routes to take by bike to really fall in love with Lake Garda. The nature is spectacular and there are panoramas that leave us breathless every time, even though we often have them in front of us. It is an emotion that never ends for us.
